About the bands
Sep 27 8-10pm
The Millennials (headliner)
Typically known for being lazy and entitled, “The Millennials” go against the grain for what you might expect of a group of musicians entirely born into this generation. Harnessing collective decades of professional music careers, The Millennials have assembled from musical backgrounds ranging from Pop-Rock to Metal-Core to Country with the intent of providing one of the best musical experiences on the West Coast. Featuring Andrew Bennett on lead vocals (Anything August), Ryan Stead on lead guitar/background vocals (Wes Mack, The Latency), Anthony Fiddler on guitar/vocals (Producer/Engineer, Wes Mack) Matthew Genereaux on bass/vocals (The Roxy house band, The Faceplants) and Jonny Wiebe on Drums (Wes Mack, The Latency), this super group can replicate any style of music ranging from Rage Against the Machine to Alannis Morissette to the Backstreet Boys with beautiful four part harmonies and impressive dynamics. Appropriate for corporate events, weddings, casinos, and parties of any sort, be sure to connect with The Millennials about your upcoming event to create a custom experience that your guests will never forget.
Sept 27 6-8pm
The Heels (headliner)
Encouragement and inspiration. Positivity and prowess. Fun and flare. None are in short supply when it comes to high-energy country trio The Heels – and yeah, the music is damn good, too.
The creative union of Bobbi Smith, Brittni Dominelli, and Kyla Rawlins was born of a desire to heal through music, and now they’re carrying that mission forward and sharing it with an ever-growing fanbase. Theirs is a message of optimism and empowerment set to a sweet country soundtrack full of monster hooks and magnetic multi-part harmonies as showcased on their heralded debut LP, 2018’s Love, Heels.
The Heels first came together at a North Vancouver café. Kyla was (and still is) a co-owner, Brittni worked behind the counter, and Bobbi was a frequent customer. Kyla and Brittni had begun making music together in their downtime and, knowing Bobbi was also an artist, invited her to join the fold.
“We all had solo careers in the past and each brought a unique style to the table,” begins Brittni. “So when we first brought it together, it really blended well and we were all inspired by what was happening.”
All three were at points in their lives where they were seeking a means to feel better, to heal from things that had taken an emotional toll, and all three knew music had the power to do just that.
Sept 27 5-6pm
Chelsea Charlton (opener)
Horse Trainer by day, Singer Songwriter by night. Born to a bluegrass roots family in Dawson Creek, Charlton first tried her own hand at song writing in 2015 and cut her first tracks playing The Bluebird-Café shortly after. As a singer songwriter she has performed for BCCMA Merritt Rocking-River Festival, Vocalize in L.A, and many writer rounds. Whether she performs with her full band "The Charlatans Band", or if stripped back to just her acoustic guitar she connects with her audience.
New Single "Sunburn" released March 11th 2019 to Spotify, iTunes, CD baby, and radio. Debut self-titled EP to follow release April 25th, 2019.
